You'll need to unroot it then do the reset. Hmmm...the apps on SD might work but I'm not 100%, never tried it.

Thanks. !!much apprecitaed. If I go through my applications and save the ones I want to sd ill have them on my sd card already when I put it into the new phone? AND FActory reset unroots the phone? Sorry for soo many questions

Get on a PC or use the browser on your phone to use the "multiple phones root them/unroot them" link in Spaz33g's signature.

If you're just doing an upgrade, they don't really have a reason to look.

I really don't think it will matter whether you're rooted or not, especially since the D1 is most likely out of warranty anyway.

system version is 2.3.151. mb810 verizon.en.us

baseband version bp c 01.09.07p

does that tell me what version i have? i hit update and it appears that i have an update available, but i backed out of it.

Take that update. It should get you to 2.3.whatever and then you should be up to date.

should i get the update before i root? and that program z4root, it's not on the market...

Go ahead and install the update. If you want to use z4root, PM me your email and I'll send it to you.

then follow the dx guide you have for rooting? i tried searching z4root on the market, wasnt there
