The HD version of the Kindle Fire is one of the best values for an Android tablet. The only problem is that you are stuck using Amazon's overlay. For what it is the Amazon carousel works fine, but you miss out on some important parts of Android, mainly the Play Store. If you have root for your tablet you are able to not only install the Google Play Store, you can also install a custom launcher to give yourself a more traditional Android experience. The Amazon Kindle HD 7" tablet has been rooted thanks to developer "RCamacho50". The method has been updated and works for version 7.4.6 and all older versions. Head to the source link for full instructions and download links.
