Root with out a computer

I don't have access to a computer and would like too root my Droid 2. Does anyone know where I can find the instructions to do this.

The method stickied at the top of the d2 hacks thread doesn't require a comp nor does the one in my sig. They are essentially the same. Also you can use z4 root here

Tried to download z4 from the link you left and it said file type not supported on this phone.

Z4 isn't offered through the market anymore. Tried the Emulator method before coming here and it didn't work.

Just type in "root" in the search box and scroll down until you find it...trust me, its there but for some reason you cant search for it by name.

If you STILL cant find it, pm me your gmail address and I'll send it to you.

z4 was pulled form the market a couple days ago, unless they snuck it back in that way.

You can just download the apk linked in the post above you and place it on your sd card and then install it and use it to root your phone.
