Root the Droid running 2.2.1

    So im trying to root my droid. Ive been trying z4 root for awhile but ive recently been told it wont work. can somone help? if thers another way without a computer, pleez share. if its on the computer pleez make sure its not too complicated. sorry for being a nube :/

    +1 this is the easiest most non-computer-savvy method of rooting 2.2.1 (FRG83D). Make sure to read up on rooting -- what it means, the consequences, etc. so you can have some know-how if you run into trouble. If you need to leverage our know-how, we're always here to help :)

    Fwiw, if you have problems with SuperOneClick, the link provided by Droid_DOES is the best and most reliable method of rooting.
