    I'm trying to root using
Obtaining Root | Root Your Droid
    When I “apply sdcard:update.zip” I get this
    E:Can't open / cache / recovery / command
then it says process complete but i do not get
the Superuser Permissions with a ninja icon. I get
the Superuser Permissions icon that looks like the Market
icon. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be
    greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

***edit*** I used this guide and found it to be easy and worked perfect...

    http://www.droidforums.net/forum/ha...ng-only-sprecovery-terminal-emulator-zip.html

Make sure the file you are using isnt getting named update.zip.zip For some their computer was adding an extra .zip at the end. Also you might get more help in the hack section....
