I do not believe z4 root will work on a droid x running the .602 OTA. To the best of my knowledge you have 2 options. 1) is to SBF back to OS 2.2 and then use z4, or 2) do some research on the "D3 one-click root method" It is pretty new and I havent tried it yet to comment on it, but I plan on trying to use it tonight and see how it works for me.

Someone in another thread on DF said that you could use z4 but you need to do it a certain way. I cant verify this.
Check out post #10 in thread to see what they said: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-hacks/169252-droid-x-wont-root-after-mot-upgrade.html

Could you give me instructions to sbf back to 2.2 i dont like the new upgrade. I did try to root using z4 the way the other post said it did not work for me. Z4 got stuck when it said rebooting i actually let it sit all night like that just to see.

Sure I can. Go HERE for a full walk through on how to do it. It is locacted in the Rescue Squad section on this site.
You could also search for it on Youtube. There are full how to videos on there.

Make sure you have a full or near full battery because it can not charge while reprogramming. Also, you will likely boot loop after the whole thing is done, this is normal. To remedy this just boot into stock recovery, wipe data and cache, then reboot your phone. After that you should be good to go.

But make sure you read the walk through and watch the videos before you start. It is not hard to do but do your research first.
