Can anyone out there help me get this done?:motdroidvert:

If you took the update and are on stock 2.3.3, Gingerbreak does NOT work. Gingerbreak only worked on the 2.3.3 leaks up to .595. You have to SBF back to 2.2.1, factory reset, root it with Z4Root, install the Droid 2 bootstrap recovery, and then flash the two-part zips(patched method)on Mydroidworld.com. That's the easiest way to do it.
^^ good advice

Thanks Brad!! If he installs a leaked version like .591, theoretically he COULD use Gingerbreak though. The leaks really aren't all that different than .596 really. Lots of people prefer using them over the official .596 cause of being able to root more easily.
