Root after gingerbread ota

Ok, I got the gingerbread update, I am not impressed. Can I still root the phone using revolutionary

Revolutionary will probably still work because it replaces the bootloader. Otherwise you may want to wait on HTC to add support to unlock it on their dev site. It was included in the OTA.

Edit: however the HTC method will likely require you to sign your warranty away.
