No. It's a different app that I will get to you once you are done with the rooting process.

After you are rooted, go to the market and buy droidx bootstrapper. It will allow you to make a backup in case anything goes terribly worng.

ok it rebooted itself. so just for clarification step 1 install droid x bootstrapper from app market right

insert battery, restart phone, and restart rooting. This is known to happen

Correct, droid x bootstrapper. Once inctalled, hit bootstrap recovery, then reboot to recovery and make a back up
