Rom vs. Theme

    Can anyone help me by explaining what the difference is? And whether it makes a difference if you have the OTA 2.2 or leaked 2.2 in order to install either?

    Well, I guess the simplest way to explain it would be this way:

    ROM = Complete custom replacement/modification of the operating system

    Theme = Modification of graphic files (for the most part) to change the look of the operating system

    theme changes look, while rom is usually look AND features.

    I think of it like a car.....

    Android is the chassis

    ROM is the body

    Theme is the paint and trim......
