    Question regarding backup/restore

I've been running one of the BB roms for a couple of months now with Froyo (2.2.1), and am relatively happy with it. However, I've run into a few issues which are bugs in Froyo, and I would like to check and see if they're fixed in this 2.3.3 release, then go back to what I am running now.

If I make a full backup (for example) via Titanium, then do a full wipe and install of this ROM - just to check it out for a couple of hours...can I restore via Titanium and have EXACTLY what I have installed now, or will there be little things missing?

Sorry for the noob question, but I haven't done this on Android yet...I'm a recent convert from Blackberry and Windows Mobile.

    Thanks!

I have been running gpa14 since the first beta. Everything is great in this latest release except for using go launcher ex. It was always smooth but now it stutters a bit, even when running your 1.1 ghz kernel. Not a big deal by any means, and everything else runs smooth. Thank you for you excellent work on this rom.

Edited: Nevermind. Its not gpa14 its go luancher. It got a little laggy after an update. This has happened before.

I've been using the backup built into ROM Manager to do this, and it works perfectly.

@Peter, I'm probably gonna port my themes to BB but since I haven't really been in this section much, I'll just ask... is this a stable release or are you gonna release another one in a few days like quite a few other gb roms seem to do?

Is anyone missing the programming menu? When you dial ##PROGRAM (##7764726) do you get the prompt for your SPC and then taken to the programming menu? It seems to be missing from this stable build of GPA14 :icon_eek:

To anyone else who didn't have their market apps restore automatically, is there any thing you can do to force it. I really don't want to have to manually download all of them.

Hmm, looks like they removed it in the newer FRG83G proprietaries. Looks like I need to revert to the older apks...will test and let you know.

This is a stable release, but then again I do seem to update it quite often lol. How intensive is your theme? Is it images alone?

Framework has XML edits... the rest is PNG replacement ... then I also use inverted gmail, gtalk, vending and facebook... so it doesn't necessarily take long to port a theme, but then testing and doing it 6 more times becomes timely... that's why I asked... but I also know that a lot of people will stick with an older version rather than flashing every new build so it'll prob be fine... I'll flash this and check it out.... thanks man.

quick question.. maybe its just my droid but it seems like when i go to disable or enable usb debugging it never seems to disable it when i try to re-connect usb. i wiped twice before i did a clean install and re-download all apps manually i did not use titanium backup. other than this small issue its running great.
