You see, I also tried (unsuccessfully) doing and ADB push of the bootanimation (can't imagine why) and it said it can't find adb. I'm not sure about that.

I have gotten this before after screwing up permissions accidently on the su binary file in /system/xbin, then attempting to root using z4root to fix the issue. I just flashed GPA 15 over my installation without wiping anything to restore root again. I would suggest giving that a shot. If you haven't changed anything in /system, then you shouldn't lose anythng as long as you don't wipe anything. Do any of your aps work that require root?

I thought about that, actually. I have 3 apps that, as far as I know, have been granted su permissions. CPUboost, Wireless Tether, and adblocker. The rest of my apps work, aside from the random and spastic FC and such. But I'll try reinstalling the ROM after a little while. And you said, Hamster, not to wipe anything, correct?

Yes, the three I mentioned do work. I'm not totally sure about adfree though. I'm not sure anybody knows if it works for sure or not. I've heard a lot of NOs and a lot of YES'.

Correct, if you don't wipe, the install with just push the contents of the zip file into /system, overwirting the contents previously there. This should fix the error you're getting, well at least it did in my case.

Ok, I just reflashed GPA14 and now I've been granted su permissions in Terminal Emulator. I'll be installing the bootani later. Maybe withing the next few minutes.

Ok. I found a program, Droid Explorer, that allowed me to change my bootani. BUT, I wasn't able to save my ORIGINAL bootani. I wanted to keep it just in case I wanted/needed to put it back. Does anybody know where I can download the stock bootanimation for OG Droid? Thanks in advance.

I extracted the GPA14 zip file and the boot img is one of the first files in the directory. You can download it at Pete's site in the first post probably.
