I'm glad to see this release if only because it means you're going to be working on Gingerbread Bugless Beast now. I have to stick with CM7 in the meantime!

Here's a noob question. I see that you're recommending the 600MHz low voltage kernel for this build, and I'll certainly try it so I can marvel. But even with the lag issues absent with 600, are there benefits to overclock anyway (other than "because we can?" I was pretty happy with battery life using your 1.1Ghz LV kernel on GPA12.

So far not going so well for me. I think it has to do with the low voltage version of the 600 kernel. I am getting stuck on the splash screen. That is a little odd to me though cause I was running LV 1.1 with no problems. Oh well... gonna keep working on it.

    ***Update***

Although I dont believe a wipe is necessary when coming from gpa12... I did one anyways and this seemed to have fixed my problem. Currently up and running at the moment... will see how things go.

***Hey Pete - RE: Your Kernel***

    I am 100% sure that I downloaded 0.60GHz_LV_V0.1.zip
    About Phone/Kernel Version Reads 2.3.32.9_0.6GHz_SV_V0.1

Is this just a typo in the kernel or is your link on your site for the LV actually downloading the SV? Thank you for the great work brother.

    ***Also Pete***

Does this build include the NFC capabilities? I dont really know if its a useful technology yet cause I dont know of any apps that use it but just curious.

Even if this ROM included NFC capabilities (2.3.3 boasts improved NFC), it wouldn't help us because as far as I'm aware, the Droid lacks the NFC hardware that the Nexus S has (ie. NFC hardware at all).

Downloading now, can't wait to check it out. Probably going to see how the 600MHz kernel works on my phone, I've been having issues with short battery life (around 10-15 hours, sometimes less) with the 1GHz one.

PS. I noticed you mentioned on Twitter that 2.3.3 has 5% battery intervals by default, is that included in GPA13?

I just installed. Cannot connect to any wifi. It sees the networks and tries to connect, but fails to authenticate. This is a clean install after a factory reset. The device is not on a cell contract, so I am trying to use it as a wifi only device.

Whatever it came with. Im an android noob, but have been jailbreaking iphones for a couple years. I followed the droid rooting guide with rsd lite. Then ran renamed the bugless zip to update.zip and flashed it using rsd lite.

Did you do a complete wipe of data, cache, boot and system? You probably flashed a Froyo .sbf with rsd lite, and installing a Gingerbread ROM over Froyo without wiping pretty much everything can make errors like that.

I'm assuming your "phone" has SPRecovery on it, so wiping boot and system would need to be done through RSD Lite (if possible?) or by installing a different recovery.

I could be mistaken but I believe most people are using rom manager to install. Here is what I do...

Download ClockworkMod Rom Manager from the market.
Run Rom Manager and select flash clockwork mod recovery
I put the Rom file on my SD card unchanged (i dont rename it)
I put the kernel on my sd card (currently running petes low voltage 600mhz kernel)
In Rom manager select Reboot into recovery.
In the recovery menu I wipe factory data
    Wipe Partition Cache.
Then select install .zip from sd card. Select GPA13 (or whatever rom)
    Then same for the Kernel
    Reboot device.

I am not sure if this will make a difference but give it a try. As I said I believe this is the method most users use.

It sounds like the 600mhz kernel you're talking about is special, will the 1ghz+ kernels not work as well with this build?

I reboot between the rom and the kernel. I've had less issues that way. For some reason my phones don't like it when I flash multiple things?

I'm sure the overclocked kernels work just great like usual, he's just promoting using the 600MHz kernel for better battery life and less complicated use (ie. no need for SetCPU/auto-overclock).
