I'm glad to see this release if only because it means you're going to be working on Gingerbread Bugless Beast now. I have to stick with CM7 in the meantime!
and i just backed up my pe when i got home, what timing pete.
Here's a noob question. I see that you're recommending the 600MHz low voltage kernel for this build, and I'll certainly try it so I can marvel. But even with the lag issues absent with 600, are there benefits to overclock anyway (other than "because we can?" I was pretty happy with battery life using your 1.1Ghz LV kernel on GPA12.
So far not going so well for me. I think it has to do with the low voltage version of the 600 kernel. I am getting stuck on the splash screen. That is a little odd to me though cause I was running LV 1.1 with no problems. Oh well... gonna keep working on it.
Although I dont believe a wipe is necessary when coming from gpa12... I did one anyways and this seemed to have fixed my problem. Currently up and running at the moment... will see how things go.
***Hey Pete - RE: Your Kernel***
I am 100% sure that I downloaded 0.60GHz_LV_V0.1.zip
About Phone/Kernel Version Reads 220.127.116.11_0.6GHz_SV_V0.1
Is this just a typo in the kernel or is your link on your site for the LV actually downloading the SV? Thank you for the great work brother.
Does this build include the NFC capabilities? I dont really know if its a useful technology yet cause I dont know of any apps that use it but just curious.
ty, probably going to have a hard time staying with pe4.2 with this release.... bet you itll be flashed onto my droid 4 days.
And cannot wait for the Bugless GPA
Even if this ROM included NFC capabilities (2.3.3 boasts improved NFC), it wouldn't help us because as far as I'm aware, the Droid lacks the NFC hardware that the Nexus S has (ie. NFC hardware at all).
Downloading now, can't wait to check it out. Probably going to see how the 600MHz kernel works on my phone, I've been having issues with short battery life (around 10-15 hours, sometimes less) with the 1GHz one.
PS. I noticed you mentioned on Twitter that 2.3.3 has 5% battery intervals by default, is that included in GPA13?
