    Same here. I'm waiting to see what happens with the next GPA version, hopefully it'll fix the issues I was having. But until then, I'm back on 6.2.1 too.

    Screen redraw fix

    I may have missed this, but I saw a mention of an "old" screen redraw fix. I am having screen redraw issues with the stock launcher, can someone tell me what the fix is?

    In terminal:
    su
    echo ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1 >> /data/local.prop
    reboot

    Viola, 99% of your (well at least it worked for me) screen re draws should go away.

    Is there a similar fix like this if using ADW? I am having screen redraw issues lately with ADW because I scaled back my CPU a bit. I was running 1.1GHZ for a while but scaled back to 800 for battery life reasons but now Im getting a ton of redraws.

    This works for any launcher, all it is doing is telling the OS to keep the launcher locked in memory, regardless of which launcher you're using.

    Cheers!

    It looks like that because you only charged it for a few minutes, it's going to jump up then drop like that when it doesn't fully charge.

    Also you might want to try a battery stats wipe AFTER fully charging.

    1 fully charge the phone.
    2 leave plugged in, reboot recovery
    3 advanced> wipe battery stats > (press power button) > reboot now > (unplug phone)
    4 use phone till it shuts itself off
    5 complete charge without power interruption (ie don't unplug it till it's charged, and when it's charged, leave it plugged in for 30min-1 hour more for good measure)
    6 if you're still getting crap battery life then either
    A: you have software draining your battery running.
    B: you need a new battery.

    Cheers!

    Pete,
    Any chance of getting the bootanimation binary pulled from the r2d2 d2 to work on gingerbread? So we can have those sweet bootanimation sounds those froyo people get?

    Bug or User error? -- Missing notification bar

    So I have a major problem with GPA12.

    I have no notification bar!!!

    Is this a bug or user error? What can I do to fix this?

    Here is the build path I used:

    1. SBF::VZW_A855_ESD56_QSC6085BP_C_01.3E.01P_SW_UPDATE_03.sbf
    2. Z4root for root access
    3. ROM Manager :: metiCkMod-FRG83D-1.0 --> FRG83GDEODEXED --> GPA12DEODEXED --> slayher_7x1000LV_v1.6_GB

    I've tried every kind of build combination I can think of, all of which leave me at the end with a build of GPA12 with NO NOTIFICATION BAR, which my friend, really sucks!

    Here are some screen shots:

    Wipe data, cache, boot, system, dalvik cache, and battery stats from clockwork recovery.

    Apply update gpa12.zip only
    Flash your kernel of choice

    Reboot and enjoy
