Well, so far so good. Haven't used the camera yet, but I haven't had any problems receiving phone calls or making them. Everything seems to be working pretty smoothly so far. Definitely the best GB-based ROM for the OG Droid I've tried to date. Let's see what happens as the week plays out.

I had a problem today. I can't log into Pandora. Have others used Pandora with this ROM.

    Pete,

Unfortunately, I need my phone to vibrate. A lot of people cant just let their phone ring whenever. I work for a police dept and last thing I need is the "Denim" song from the music teacher Target commercial blasting while im on a call. I know you are busy but did you look into the cause of this at all while building the ROM?

Try using a program like Handsent or ChompSMS. They are able to turn off vibrate during a call. Then disable notifications in the stock messaging app.

If you prefer the stock solution (which I do), you can try downloading cyanogenMod 7.0 or 7.1 and remove/install the SMS.apk and phone app. These are essentially stock apps with tons more options. And I have never had a problem running them on Pete's ROMs

Yes, I've had this happen numerous times.

Also, this seems better with this ROM, but when I use the keypad to dial out each number I press echoes (sort of like HD sound).

BTW Pete, I have had a lot of fun with your ROMS.

This only happens to a small percentage of people so I think it's Droid specific, my Droid has never done it.

I used Pandora last night w/ no problems.

is it possible to have this rom display the battery percentage w/o having to use a theme? I dont think i overlooked it in the settings.

I've been running GPA's for the last few releases with no problems.

On GPA17 I noticed the following:

System ROM 147 MB (17.0 MB free)
Internal: 274 MB (128 MB free)

Should I be concerned about only having 17MB of System ROM free? I haven't noticed any issues so far, is there anything that can be done to free up more System ROM, or is this just part of the build?

    REspect.

I was using the stock kernel with interactive set cpu settings. I can't remember if I left the clock at the stock setting, or if I set the max to 1 Ghz. I think I set the max to 1 Ghz though and left my screen brightness on auto.

No point in having memory if you don't use it ;)

So no there is no need to worry about it.

I can't use Gmail on my Motorola Droid. Other than that, fantastic. But Gmail crashes any time I try to open it, and it sometimes happens randomly, I guess when it tries to sync or something in the background
