plenty of new stuff. cool! i noticed that there is no longer an ability to uninstall system apps...?
its in ROM Toolkit, in settings
Probably get flamed for this but CM just doesn't cut it on the original Droid IMO.
*Not a fanboi of anything, just my own personal observations aimed at no one.*
It may work perfectly fine on other phones, but when it comes to the Droid1, after a while no matter what you do, no matter what kernel you use or freq. or how slim and stock you keep it, or how much you follow the install directions to the "t", it bogs down after awhile from some unseen force.
Sure, it has tons of customizations and some awesome devs, but I think in part it never got the dedication and time with testing to the Original Droid as it should of. Maybe now that the maintainers of it have changed (now has 2 different maintainers) it will get enough dedication to make it work without bogging down to a crawl after a couple weeks.
May work out for a select few on their magical Droids, but in all the experiences I've had with CM over plenty of it's versions, doesn't cut it in the long run.
This is where some of the other ROMS work very well on the Original Droid, like BB and LFY. They have the dedication of the devs because that's what they focus on for the most part.
thank you! i appreciate your work
i think its the same, but maybe a little faster. good stuff either way
I couldnt agree more, I loved the custom stuff but my phone never really seemed to get along with it.
that change log looks very sexy Pete
Nice and smooth, thanks a lot pete.
How about the non-system apps like DSPManager, quickoffice, and terminal emulator?
I'm not sure if it's really considered "kosher" by the experts, but I just removed the remaining applications I didn't want (Quickoffice, News and Weather) by manually removing their respective APKs with Root Explorer.
I threw something together real quick. let me know if you like it or hate it. if someone wants to use it, i can change colors to whatever.
just a sig test
