Ss far I haven't run into any issues doing a fresh install. I thought everything was running perfectly until I attached it to my Car dock. It won't go into car mode. A notification comes up saying it's in car mode but the home screen stays the same. I can't even get it to change by clicking the Car Mode icon. I didn't see it mentioned anywhere else in the thread, so just throwing it out there to see if anyone else is having the same problem and a possible solution.

Oh, for what it's worth, I am running the Chevy LV 1.1 kernel. No themes.

So can I just move this onto my SD card and install with ROM manager?

I may be wrong -- but I don't think you can. I think you need to use a different launcher from the market, like ADW or LauncherPro to be able to do that.

Hi Guys. Pete, nice job. Thank goodness there are tech crazies like you which make these little computers fun. I appreciate your work.

So....I flashed .6 and it was balky, so I went back to .5. I got 6.1 and it is very smooth. However, i seem to be missing a couple of things. no spare parts? It's useful and I can't find it.

More importantly, has anyone had a problem with the phone finding and loading its contacts? THey are THERE, as i've created a folder with them. But the actual contacts app says i have none. I have ported them over from nitrodesk touchdown, which worked before. Worst case, I have a wavesecure backup which I can get, but I still don't know if it will show up in the contacts app. Any brilliant ideas?

That's exactly how I did it and it worked like a charm. Many people like to move to SD card but go into recovery (power off the phone, then hold the "x" key and hit the power button) then wide data/cache 3 or 4 times then use the recovery menu to install from zip. I've used this method many many many times without any hiccups.

Each method will work for you. The second method being the best bet to ensure you remove any possible conflicts from apps or settings that may corrupt your install.

    Good luck. :)

I think it's in the Settings > ROM Toolkit > Spare Parts, a new menu item at the top of Settings

My alarm clock has been working fine and I use it every day! so not sure why you would be having the issue? maybe try reflashing?

On a side note I have notice a "bug" if you will with my phone's vibrate. Everytime I get a text message I get an annyoing about 3 or 4 short vibrates every time. I have gone into the messaging app and set vibrate to "never" and I have also set vibrate to "never" under the menu settings for the main phone/call notifications. yet every time I get a text I still get the annoying 3 to 4 short vibrates. Any thoughts??

Am I the only one that noticed ROM toolkit is still not capitalized?
