I noticed after only 3 hours with basically no use i have 80% battery and when i looked 2nd was cell standby on battery use. It says "Time without a signal 50%". That seems like a lot to me. It almost always has full bars. Could it be the lowv kernel?

A quick note...make sure you figure out where apps are being installed to. Google SkyMap automatically installs to the sdcard and sometimes won't show up in the launcher. Irritating yes, easily fixed, yes. Goto Settings>Applications>Manage Applications and click on "Move to Phone".

    And good morning :)

This is basically what I've been experiencing, and what I was talking about above. Are you also on the stock kernel?

No. Using the lowv 800 mhz chevyno1 kernel, but still going through battery fast.

Last night I was having issues with gmail sync. Now I can't boot to recovery. Even with ROM manager and holding x. Any ideas what the hell is going with the rom.

Ah, didn't see the "lowv kernel" in your original post. What baseband are you using?

I'm getting the same cell standby issues but I never gave it any mind until now. My cell reception seems great but it is definately a drain on the battery. Running a 1.1 p3 lv kernel at 900mhz most of the time using the latest baseband.

Something that helps me out is clicking airplane mode on for a minute or so then turning it back off. Then again I normally have a charger somewhere so I'm not too concerned. *shrug* If Chevy decides to add tethering into his kernels I might switch. (Has he yet? I know he was against it for some reason but that mighta been a long time ago)

And thanks Tallica :) Replies get buried fast in this thread.

My gmail wasn't syncing when I first flashed this ROM, but I guess it was just settling in. All is well now.
