More info on my site: Peter Alfonso: Download: Bugless Beast (V. GPA18) Android 2.3.7
Impossible - I am the first? Pete - Thanks for all your work...D/L now.
probably the last update im going to do, it was a nice ride. thanks pete.
Pete, first off...love your work. With that said, I just installed BB GPA18 and I got to admit it is very fast! I did notice the LED notification is not working....is this a know issue?
If this is the same as the Oct13 nightly build, I've been running that for 2-3 days and it seems rock solid. As always, simply the best roms for the OG Droid.
Thanks for the update, Pete. I hope things are going well for you in school. I don't want to say how fast it is until I get everything loaded back up, but GPA17 hasn't failed me. I'll presume the next BB with ICS 4.0 will be the next update when you get your hands on the Galaxy Nexus...? I don't think you've made an announcement as to whether or not you're going to grab the Galaxy Nexus. I do remember you saying a long while ago that you would wait until there was a dev phone for Verizon before you got a new phone.
Wiped and installed this morning on my OG Droid. A few notes:
- Couldn't bypass the 'Welcome to Droid' screen (Touching the 4 corners used to work)
- After installation it automatically installed several apps which I use on another device but that I didn't want on my phone. I've never had that happen before.
Otherwise, the ROM appears stable and quick.
WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO! Way to go Pete! DL now.
if you disable sync with google, it will no longer download all of your known apps. with sync enabled it is stored in the cloud and autopushed to you with every device you login from.
Unofficially, pete needs our help to get the handset... no upgrade anytime soon. I started a thread about this, but no one seemed to care... but look at how many are downloading this now.
Well got me to install one more GB ROM , said I was going to stick with Froyo to the end of my contract . So far so good , it is fast , most things I use are almost instantaneous when initiated (1000 in OC selection) , just wondering , I use Linux a lot , openSuse to be precise , in Linux I use KDE always (LXDE sometimes to fix KDE) , I have done this for years now , when I install a new OS I don't format the "Home" directory and when the OS boots for first time all my KDE settings are still there , so , in Android is there a folder that houses the GUI info ? If so , is there a way CWM or other ROM Managers can be configured to format that folder ? I noticed every time I install a ROM the settings I have made are still there no matter which ROM it was , just makes me think we are not getting a clean wipe every time (Home and GUI must be on SDcard) , just a thought .
Great ROM Pete !
Hey Pete, are you going to be releasing variations of the newer kernels? My phone loves the LV 1.00GHz Kernel and I get awesome battery life out of it, but I hate to keep downgrading it to the v.3 with every newer release of your ROMs.
downloaded and installed, and my phone is snappier than its ever been! What makes this a Bugless Beast ROM though? Its really great, but it just seems like its a stock ROM? Am i missing where you can change settings, etc?
market.android.com is not showing any devices after I've installed this. I even did another reset and installed again and it's still not acknowledging my device. Anyone else have this issue?
Edit: Scratch that, Google updated
Been using the 10/13/11 nightly based on 2.3.7 since the release and it's been flawless.
Installed it after an sbf wipe, nandroid restore, then flashed the ROM. It's quick and smooth like when I got the phone. Unless there was a significant change I will stick with this nightly for a bit
Ditto on the bypassing the welcome screen.
I have been staying away from Gingerbread, but I couldn't resist a new Bugless! Thanks Pete.
