And now that I have said that, I went and looked for it on my phone again and now it's there. But i haven't seen it all since the first time I tried to update a few weeks ago.

So I installed this and installed the Chevy 1.0 ULV kernel and found that it was still sluggish compared to Bugless Beast 0.4 even though that has FRF84 :O

Do Pete's tweaks really make that much of a difference? Or did I just not let it sit long enough? I basically got so frustrated that I immediately restored my nandroid backup and was like WOW this is so much faster! and runs cooler too. :p

Honestly my phone runs much faster and is far more stable with this and an 800MHz P3 kernel than it ever was on Bugless.

so, is there any risk to bricking the phone if i installed this rom ? it would be my first rooted rom....

how does a rooted OS behave with installed apps, data, is there any characteristics of a rooted OS that would affect my installed apps or restoring my data ?

i use mybackup pro to backup and restore data. i use astro to backup and restore apps.

what risks are there to using a rooted rom ?

    Noooooooo

If this is what they're pushing out...and Pete's is based off of this...then that sucks. Only because of the 802.1x bug in Froyo.

Issue 8804 - android - wpa_supplicant 0.6.10 (froyo) unable to auth in a wpa2/enterpise wifi - Project Hosting on Google Code

Cannot connect to Eduroam since upgrading to 2.2 Froyo - Android Help

Android 2.2 Can't connect to the corporate WiFi network with EAP 802.1x - Android Help

Well, when the 2.2 update gets pushed out. There are going to be a lot of upset users since going from 2.1 to 2.2 screws it up. Pete, is this something you can fix in your ROM? dancedroid
