I present to you a completely untouched Android 2.2 FRF84B ROM. The ONLY changes that have been made are the replacement of some build keys in the build.prop to protect the source and the fact that I have rooted it for you. This also INCLUDES the official 600mhz boot.img for FRF84B that has not been leaked yet, so now you have it! I will also provide a fully deodexed version as well.

    Download Links:
    Odexed ROM
    Deodexed ROM

For those of you wanting to try out the new kernel on Bugless Beast (or other ROMs :icon_evil:) without losing any features I will provide you with that as well.

    Download Link:
    Boot.img

    F.A.Q.

    Q) Where did you get these files?
    A) That is none of your business, just enjoy them.

    Q) Is this the same as the MyDroidWorld Exclusive?
    A) Did you not read the first paragraph of the OP? This is UNTOUCHED and INCLUDES the boot.img, so it is totally different.

    Q) How is this "UNTOUCHED"?
    A) I used unyaffs to extract the sbf....Google it.

    Q) What does "deodexed" mean and which one should I download?
    A) This takes some time to explain...If you are asking this question you should download the "deodexed" version.

    Q) How can I donate to Pete?
    A) I'm so glad you asked, here's the link: [IMG]

Out of curiosity, why would one download this over v.04 or vice versa?

Thanks. I was wondering why the kernel was from May in that release. I noticed that the build number in that version is higher, but the build date is earlier. Weird. In any case, I think I'm going to swap over to this. Thanks again!

Pete, will you start basing your BB Roms off this build now as opposed to FRF57?

    scratch this post.

I'm new to rooting and I'm now officially confused lol! I was running bb, then the froyo build gave me some problems so I switched to another froyo rom...now I was planning on flashing bb 0.4 and now this comes out. I am so confused as to which I should flash now and what the benefits of one are over the other

This file is what will be sent to Verizon, from Motorola.
It's the bone stock Froyo that all (unrooted) users will get from Verizon once they are done testing it.
Of course it may be changed if Verizon sends it back to Motorola to do some changes if they feel their testing measures aren't met.
Basically, it's Motorola's final touch on Froyo.

The difference between this and Pete's .4 release is that he has applied all his tweaks to the final release from Motorola. I.E an oc'd kernel, BB Toolkit, etc etc.
The only thing he edited in this "untouched" version can be found in the OP.

So if you want all the magic of BB, then use his .4 release.
If you wan bone stock Froyo (as Motorola sees fit) then use the file in the OP of this thread.

Hope that helps to explains things a bit :)

Some people like to run stock w/root. Don't need themes and all just want root access to do what they need.

Could someone who's flashed this tell me what their kernel info is? Either this is an 800mhz kernel or somethings seriously wonky with my boot partition. I've tried to flash the kernel 4 times now: via the main update.zip, by hand via flash_image in Clockwork recovery, via the kernel update zip, and again by hand in SPrecovery. No matter what I end up with a 800mhz kernel, 2.6.32.9-g103d848.

Edit: Ok, so I'm not crazy. Flashed to a jdlfg kernel -worked fine. Flashed back to this one - worked fine. Maybe it defaults to 600mhz, but SetCPU will definitely crank it up to 800mhz.
