I have Not been able to download and install music 3.0. It gives an error. "Installation error" "Package file was not signed correctly" An I also tried with a apk from forums and it failed as well. Any suggestions for installing it with baseline 0.5?
I was using petes GPA 15 5-2 and it installed fine when i was running that rom.

I was under the impression it would work on Froyo too.

It probably requires aosp ... just a guess. I will see what logcat says and go from there.

I might also mention that I was trying to update Music 3.0 from the Market (it was giving me the update notice). I also tried to clearing Market Data with no success, the update is no longer notifying me but 'music' is available in the market and shows as 'update' and not just install.

I was unable to download the music update as well. I ended up deleting the
old music apk with root explorer and was then able to install it from the market.

delete music.apk, delete music's dex cache in dalvik-cache, reboot. thats's what it took for me

edit: I don't like the new music app.. switching back to old one

RZ, I would like to ask if you are considering or planning to add the 'security' fix being pushed out right now to baseline .5.
    Thanks

I did more reading and it seems it is being fixed on the server side but 2.3.4 was fixed on the handset as i understand it.
    Thanks for responding.

    Her is the Egadget article.
No Android security flaw is good news for Google, but the recently discovered ClientLogin issue that left the OS vulnerable to impersonation attacks is surely at least a bit more welcome than some of the alternatives. That's because the flaw can be fixed at the server-side level (rather than on millions of Android phones), and Google has now confirmed that a fix is rolling out today, although it may take a few more days for it to cover all users (there's no action required on your part). The company's not quite out of the woods just yet, though -- while we've confirmed with Google that the fix addresses the issues with Calendar and Contacts, the problem with Picasa remains, and there's still no indication of a fix for it. Incidentally, Google had already fixed the Calendar and Contacts issues on the phone-side with Android 2.3.4 (although that still left 99 percent of phones vulnerable), but it too is still stuck with the Picasa vulnerability.

Wow RZ, you have made me a believer out of Froyo again. Not only is RZRecovery the shiz but Baseline 0.5 is the fastest and most battery conservative Froyo ROM I've ever used. Froyo used to be the pain in my OG Droid's side but no longer the case. Can't wait to see any updates you put out in the future.

    Cheers to RZ

Thanks .. yes, froyo rocks. I have given up on GB, it just can't even touch froyo. Well, it cant touch *my* froyo :p

I run stock kernel at 1100mhz, why not.. my battery lasts like crazy. Even on the performance governor (which means it never leaves the max slot) I cannot notice a difference ...

So for getting the best battery out of the OG Droid, you recommend the performance governor or something like ondemand or interactive? What's been the best experience for you personally?

For me, I used to get down to 80% after 14 hours using Ultimate Droid (suing your kernel) but not so much with their latest offerings. With your 0.5 Baseline and LV kernel, I'm down to 60% at 14.5 hours, around normal usage today for me. Any suggestions?
