    DISCLAIMER

I do not take any responsibility for anything negative that happens to your droid or life ;)

Did I mention this ROM is NOT FROM SOURCE? Any of the features that are typically only in AOSP-based ROMs have been done in dalvik bytecode via JesusFreke's smali/baksmali suite. It is built off of the FRG83D OTA, the same thing Bugless Beast is made from. I made it for fun, and to learn the rom.tgz ways. I hope you find it useful.

    SCRIPTS
    animset:
sets system & transition animation speeds to an arbitrary value in seconds
    USAGE:
    Code:
         animset 0.3
System animation duration set to 0.3 seconds.
    Reboot to see the change.

    animset 10
System animation duration set to 10 seconds.
    Reboot to see the change.

camsoundon/camsoundoff: replaces camera click sound with silence or stock clikc
    USAGE:
    Code:
         camsoundoff
Camera sound replaced with 0.3 seconds of silence

    camsoundon
Camera sound replaced with original sound

    sysrw/sysro: mounts system read-write and read-only
    USAGE:
    Code:
         sysrw
    sysro

    FAQs
    Q. Why are the volume button music controls reversed?
    A. They aren't. pressing down moves down through the play list, or if in landscape, pressing left (down) moves forward in the play list. Camera button pauses playback.

    Q. Will this work with Clockwork?
    A. No. Clockwork does not support this ROM format.

    Q. Will it work with ROM Manager?
    A. No, it is not supported.

    Q. Will theme X work with this?
    A. No, it might seem to work but you will most likely lose some features.

(These were off the top of my head, I am sure there will be more added later)

I actually left the animations choice for last and it went through fine. I'm semi-noob anyway but I just love RZR and Baseline. Any other colors planned?

This rom seems really stable but there is a few apps that wont install or update. Is there a fix for that?

Is the build.prop fingerprint FRG83D or FRG83G? I think since the newest build wasn't an official OTA the fingerprint should be D....I'm about to try this out when I get home....I love your kernel and recovery work and I miss that old format.

It's G. Because of this I had to make my own PayPal app, because that didnt even show up in the market. I might release a hack update.zip to take it back to D for those who want it. I just like to stay current, even if it isn't official.

Yea being current is a must for me...however the fingerprint is what tells are market what apps to have...in nub terms.Right? anyways I also wanna ask another question I like to usually open the ROM before installing and modify a few things then package it up and sign it but I don't think I can do that with this can I?

you can, but it might break a lot of the options... What are you wanting to modify?

This takes me back to the days of AdamZ's smoked glass for some reason. Must be the rom.tgz. Awesome work.

nothing big honestly...I just add some sysctl.conf lines and I like to have higher dalvikVM and some minfree setting and I like to have certain apps installed in system and I usually delete any apps and sounds I dont use...etc small things no real edits to the framework and anything above what i can do with RootExplorer...it's really not a big deal I can edit it in the phone then do a factory data reset so my system is how I want it on a fresh install

I understand if i break it I'll fix it I wont come crying saying your ROM sucks blah blah blah

ah, yeah. thats easy, crack open the TGZ, then open up RZ_system.tar, there you will find the system contents. You won't find many sounds, I already had at them... But yeah, that's how you do it. the heapsize I have at 36m

personally I'd just install the ROM and then use adb shell to make all the adjustments afterwards

oh, if you do a factory reset you will be left without a launcher! wipe data through the installer, and then make your launcher/kernel/shell selections and go to finish

if you make no selections, you get stock shell, low voltage kernel and launcher pro

are there any theme's that would be compatible with your ROMs? aside from the customizible colors packed in the tgz?

About to flash and wante dto know if there was a black statusbar mod or a whole theme that would be compatible...or maybe a list of compatible themes as seperate thread?
