I never had luck with the ulv kernels. They were very unstable on my device. Happily running Raidzero's LV 2.6.39 250/900 atm.
I'm also back on 4.2 for a while now. Seems D1 development has peaked. So many newer, faster devices that're stock GB or higher, with the old girl well past EOL at this point. How much further could Froyo actually be pushed? I mean... it's pretty damn good.

Just installed 4.2 again after a few weeks of cm6. When I'm on a call, all of the normal buttons that show up are missing. It only shows the callers name and duration of call. No end, speaker, or mute buttons. There's a tab at the bottom of screen which brings up the dialpad but even then I'm still missing those other few buttons. Did I inadvertantly change a setting? Anyone experience this before?

Just hit the menu button on the bottom of your phone ( the hard button) and the menu will pop up from the bottom of the screen with the options for speaker phone, hang-up and Blacklist. Be sure when ending a call not to use the icon that looks like a broken handset, it not only ends the call but then adds the number to the blacklist and doesn't let that number through until you remove it from the list. Hope this helps.

Thx for the reply. Yes I found them in the menu. But I'm curious as to why they are there now and not jjust on the screen like they were the previous times I flashed 4.2

Look in Elite Settings/ General/ Additional App Settings/ extra phone settings and check "in call touch ui." I think that'll do what you want.

Yep that's it. Just takes a reboot to take effect. I guess that's why it didn't help before. Thanks

I don't think it's supposed to time out. Of course, it's been forever since I've been on another rom, so I could be wrong.
