Flashing a stock theme is much quicker.
Later this week I am posting the vanilla rom but needed to recompile for this and wont have time tonight or tom but after posting the vanilla rom I will post the stock theme. Sorry it will be a day or two
No rush at all, you've done more than enough to make me happy, everything else is just gravy
There seems to be a problem in the Elite Options on the block ads part. It appears to reset to show whenever I hit hide and exit the program
That option in Elite Options remains checked after I exit, and even after I reboot. I'm not sure why that's not working for you, but you can accomplish the same thing by going into Terminal Emulator and typing
I've got a weird problem. Everytime I nandroid backup, when I reboot, Twitter FB SmoothCalendar etc are all back, after I deleted them. I used root explorer, elite options, and root tools. Any idea?
did you reboot? changes thru Elite Options generally require a reboot to take effect.
are you deleting them from system apps before you make your nandroid?? after deleting the apps, are you rebooting before you make your nandroid?
Here's what happens, I make System/Apps R/W in Root Explorer. Delete the apps in question (or use RootTools or EliteOptions). Reboot to recovery, nandroid backup, reboot phone. And the apps are back. Was not seeing this with peV3, only 3.5.
in order to get your changes to "take", you generally always need to reboot. if you're doing the backup before rebooting, you're probably backing up the system before it has had the chance to make the changes. try deleting the apps; reboot; then reboot into recovery and make your backup.
I'll try that thanks. The apps don't all come back at the same time, seems only one or two reappear. But after a few nandroid cycles of backing up, they all reappear. I'll try the reboot first idea.
2 backups using your method, and it seems to be working. Thanks for the solution!
