I used it over the weekend and took 40+ photos, no fcs. Like gld said, clock down and video is flawless.

Been running this for a few days. I was previously on PEv4.2 and this is a definitely running better IMO, and I haven't noticed any issues that were plaguing PEv5.2.

I have no complaints and look forward to any themes that will be released. lol I'm hoping to see a port from Pistol Pete soon (I love the HC look).

Great job to everyone involved with this newest built, you're the best! dancedroid

Maybe this should have been a final instead of beta :) thanks for the comments so far. Glad to see gb is working our pretty good for a lot of you.
There was just a few more things that coulda havebeen added before release but I guess this will do for a little while until those final touches are in.(hopefully lol)

Can we restore data with apps going from 5.0.2 to v6? Both GB, so should be OK, right?

See post #5 above. I did with TiBu, but I used the TiBu busybox for the backup and then installed the TiBu busybox again after the ROM install, for the restore.

I've been using this version of PE since Saturday night (when you posted a dl link via Twitter) and I have to agree that this ROM is fantastic. Calling it a "BETA" implies bugs or that it won't work well as your daily driver. But with PE 6 this is not the case. I look forward to seeing what you have planned to add to the ROM, but as is PE 6 is nearly flawless.

GLD - I downloaded the libaudiopolicy.so.zip again and again, could not extract it in 7zip (64-bit). I unzipped it in Win7, 64-bit and pasted it into system/lib after renaming the original file. A reboot left me hung at the white 'M'. Battery pull and reboot resulted in the same. I restored from rz nandroid. Installed the bluetoothladyupdatezip.zip and could not boot past the boot animation. Restored again and I guess I'll live without bt lady's voice. Have others used these methods successfully?

All right, I'm not sure what is going on. I copied the file straight from /system/lib on my phone and used an update zip template that I've used countless times before, so this makes no sense to me. I'm going to pull both files until Greg can post a good one tonight. I'm sorry for the snafu!

Hopefully we can see at least a couple of themes ported to this. I know its only beta, but a rom this good needs some themeing goodness!

I believe bluetooth works properly -- you just can't hear the bluetooth lady saying "Speak now" when you do voice dialing (you can see "Speak now" on the screen, though).

Hmmm... okay thanks... hopefully an update patch is posted for this because hearing the prompt is very vital to me on the road, if not I may have to 'break' dsp myself to get that voice back!!.. :p lol thanks GLD

As far as I can tell, there are at least 3 ways to lock the launcher in memory:

    1. LauncherPro has an option in Preferences > General Settings > Keep in memory.
    2. Settings > Elite Settings > Performance > Perfomance Optimizations > Lock Apps in Memory > Lock Home in Memory.
    3. Include ro_HOME_APP_ADJ=1 in the /data/local.prop file.

I use the local.prop file method and do not check the boxes for the option in the other places. I would appreciate any feedback as to the best method. I don't lock any other apps in memory.

edit: MBK, I have used BT quite a bit on a headset and a car speaker and it works great except for the lack of bt lady (which I really want also).
