Hey Adrynalyne, might have been mentioned before but if not, it appears your link is broken to the MM theme in the OP. Looks like they stopped the rom is so popular it's generating too much traffic.

One issue I have found, and it may just be me.....
    Those damn LED notifications.
Yeah yeah. I know 2.1 makes them only work when the screen is off.
I've received about 5 text msgs. in the last hour and the light never blinked for any of them. I noticed this the other day but never thought much of it. Same thing with gmail...no LEDs when screen is off.
I did have Handcent installed and was wondering if there was some sort of conflict. I uninstalled it. Went back to the stock messaging app and still no dice.
I even went as far as doing a complete reinstall...full wipe. The whole nine yards.
I checked the obvious things...made sure LED notifications were active...in messaging, Gmail and anything else that calls for it.
    Yet, I still get none.
I'm tempted to go and try the rooted 2.1 update, bare bones and see if it works there.
Anyone else have any similar issues and/or a fix before I go back to stock?
I know the LED does work. I've seen it light up for low power and for something else...I think when rebooting while something was running.
Just no clue why it's not working for the standard apps.

I'm working on modifying the CM source for the settings apk he modified to access the LEDs even when the screen is on. This will resolve a lot of the confusion, if I can get it done.

Right now it irks me because it refers to trackball settings, when we don't have a trackball :D

FWIW, all of my led notifications work right now with the screen off.

That would be nice to have the LEDs working again with screen on.
Unfortunately, I just flashed to the stock 2.1 and still no go. I even went allllllll the way back to a 2.0.1 stock image....and nothing works.
It must be a hardware malfunction in my phone. Weirdly I do get the red LED at times.
    Dunno.

Is there anyway to force the LED to come on?
    Like maybe in debugging mode?
I don't have ADB or any developement kits on my pc. Heard some issues with Win7 x64 so I never even bothered after looking at the process to get it working. Guess I'm lazy in that department

look for an app called "missed call" it let you customize the led and led color, for anything from missed call to alarm check it out! it will let you test the led to make sure you like the color i think
