The running applications view isn't always the most accurate on total ram, try typing in "free" in terminal emulator, I think that command isn't too accurate to use to see free ram though

Primes deprimed kernel @ 1.2GHz w/ customized kickasskernel tweaks and 3g turbocharger

How cool would it be if ICS skunked GB with bluetooth voice dialing? Very cool, it would be.

idk ics is already super smooth for an alpha and has tons of cool features and improvements (web browser = amazing) so when hardware acceleration gets working it might work better than gingerbread already. So you can basically call the ics port the gingerbread killer lol

Finally flashed this. It's slot smoother than I thought. It also resembles ICS a lot more than I thought too. Actually, I haven't found anything that isn't like ICS, yet. Only problem I had was the calendar app fc'd twice, but didn't cause any problems. The phone is retired, so the phone part is no big deal. The only thing missing is the market. Is that not a part of the gapps, or did I miss that part?

theres been a few issues with the newest gapps, i think its because its cutting it so close with running out of space in /system...I uploaded one i edited by taking out a couple nonessential apps so try this one and see

That got the market back. Thanks metalspring. Aside from you saying the phone not working, I think this is good enough to use every day. Runs just as good as the last cm nightly does on my D1.

For some odd reason I can't get service back, was there when I first booted after installing. Tried the airplane mode trick, radiooptions 5-1-0, and data disabled, and restoring my backup from rom manager. Other than that, runnin great!

I see cowsquad on xda said that problem happened when he flashed a different kernel. I flashed the deprimed test kernel, a newer one. Which kernel are you running metalspring?

im using deprimed as well, the service issue is basically hit or miss right now, if you get it to stick once after a reboot then it basically stays on, otherwise you just have to keep playing with it, try upping the dalvik vm heap size in build.prop, rebooting recovery, wiping cache and dalvik cache and rebooting, i cant say if that'll work or not but higher dalvik cache cant hurt and i have better luck getting signal to work after wiping dalvik in recovery

Thanks. I'll give it a shot in a bit & let you know what I think. I still have the other one on my D1 & really like it.

Using this as my daily, with the sacrifice of phone calls. Love android 4.0. Metalspring, besides deprimed kernel what other tweaks if any do you use? Sometimes when I go back to the home screen its blank and takes a second for everything to load back up, happens less when using nova launcher. Only real problem I have

I think in the v6 stickied thread, Zeppelin uploaded a memory adjustment script I think it was, sayin that changing the oom values wouldn't stick at boot, or something along those lines. I've been meaning to use this n test it out as a daily driver, but the no call audio could be a problem. Don't really care about the camera or GPS, atleast for the time being.

Does the "Wireless Tether" app work on this? I want to use this as my daily but I use my droid as a hot spot a lot nowadays.
