When you install the new kernel, wipe cache and dalvik. You can also try clearing data on the Virtuous app (settings -> programs -> manage applications). It could also be the kernel you are using is reporting its frequencies in a different method than the stock and others which could be causing the issue.

Thanks this helped. I wasn't wiping cache and dalvik. That probably helped. The only thing I had to do differently is that I had to clear data from virtuous overclock from TB as I couldn't do it from manage applications.
