1. You want that $100.00 in your pocket or an Amazon Fire TV don't you? Well here's the deal. With our new updated look we are in desperate need of an updated logo. The 'old' one has certainly served us well, but it's time. Find all the details here: bit.ly/1q0k6Wa

    [ROM]MIUI Gold(1.1.14) for HTC Incredible

    [IMG] [ROM] MIUI-Gold (1.1.14) HTC Incredible | English | Deodexed | Updated 1/17/2011

First off, I want to mention that Markhuk deserves most of the credit being that he not only manages this sight, but owns it as well and without him we wouldn't have such a fantastic sight for the MIUI project. Thanks goes out to S-Murphy who developed this rom for the htc desire.

    credits:
MarkHuk-for managing and owning MIUI site
    NIX-for everything he's done
S-Murphy-for the original MIUI-AU rom for the desire
MIUI Dev team-for working relentless hours on the MIUI project
    Google Android-for an awsome os
    HTC-for an awsome phone
Warttack-for helping me out with the port, some files in the port, and guidance![IMG] Also, I would like to make mention that the internal and sd storage fix came from Warttack!
Aiccucs-for taking part in this build[IMG]
    Cyanogenmod-for a great kernel
    Koush-for a great kernel
metalcated-for updating thread titles, helping with uploads and communication!

If I missed anyone, let me know so that I can include credit where it's due, thanks!

    What is MIUI-AU?
MIUI is a radical HTC Desire (and N1) Chinese ROM – built from Google source code, it has a similar look to the iPhone (iOS) but its still Android. As MIUI is NOT based on HTC Sense UI it is quite a different feeling after using a standard HTC Desire, but it does have a lot of similarities to Sense UI.

    Features:

    • Modified boot image:
      • Set security = 0
      • Set allow Mocklocation = 1
      • Set timezone = Automatic (default)
    • Custom memory optimiser
    • Fast GPS fix tweak
    • Latest HTC market fingerprint
    • Some custom GUI graphics
    • Fly in animation
    • Gingerbread IME keyboard
    • HTC IME keyboard
    • CM Music app
    • Mega sound pack optional addon – 250+ sounds from different Android phones
    • 8MP camera
    • Based on the latest Android build
    • 25 x Lockscreen wallpapers
    • 40 x Desktop wallpapers
Worthy of a mention MIUI stock features:

    • FM RADIO works great, just like on Sense-ROMs
    • Wifi N
    • Wifi hotspots
    • Built-in Backup software
    • MIUI Appshare
    • Easily flash and manage themes
    • Very fast file manager
    • Butter smooth GUI
    Included Apps :

    • [*]Updated network settings for Australian providers – compatible with Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, 3, Exetel… using laetest Cyanogen’s massive APN list
      [*]Gmail 2.3.2
      [*]Google Maps 5.0.0

The following apps were formerly included in MIUI_Au but now are not included, but are recommended

    • Appbrain
    • DialerOne (this app is a MUST HAVE)
    • Handcent SMS (this app is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
    • Youlu Address book (this app is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
    • Flash LED (this app is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
    • ColorNote (this app is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
    • Telstra Usage Meter (this app is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you are with Telstra)
    • Winamp
    • Ultimate Stopwatch
    • Weather, Flip Clock Widget
    • Animated Weather widget
    • FxCamera (Camera App)
    • Ringlert (great for Ringtones)
    • Fast Webinstall
    • Market Enabler
    • ADW.Launcher
    • ClearDefaultHome
    • Contact2Sim (Copy contact to sim card)
    • Cache mate (cache cleaner)
    Things to be aware of:
This ROM is a little bit like a cross between iOS & Cyanogenmod. There is no Apps drawer, Apps & Widgets are spread on your desktop screens. To keep them organised, you should put them in Folders. If you want the Apps drawer, switch to ADW.Launcher. Those who’ve used the Cyanogen-based ROMs will feel right at home with ADW.Launcher. Read more about the features in the MIUI Manual

    Warttack's gps improvement
Just select maps and let it load, then exit and try navigation. Should help!

    GPS FIX

    • Check your APN settings, make sure that your default APN has the following entry in its APN Type: “default, supl” – without the inverted commas. This setting helps speeds up GPS fix everytime, SUPL (Secure User Plane) is defined in the GPS config of Android ROMs, particularly the Desire.
The easy way (try this first)

    • Turn WiFi on
    • Turn GPS on
    • Open application: GPS Status (ver 3.4)
    • Go into its Settings menu
    • Click on Tools
    • Click Manage A-GPS state
    • Click Reset
    • Click Manage A-GPS state again
    • Click Download [You'll see a message telling you that a data connection is needed, ignore it]
    • Now put your phone on a stable, straight surface in order to enable the phone to get a lock, within GPS Status. This time, you’ll see your phone get the lock way faster than before.
    • Open Google Maps
    The thorough way

    • Turn off phone.
    • Take your SIM out of the phone
    • Power on the device
    • Turn WiFi on
    • Turn GPS on
    • Open application: GPS Status (ver 3.4)
    • Go into its Settings menu
    • Click on GPS and Sensors
    • Click Manage A-GPS state
    • Click Reset
    • Click Manage A-GPS state again
    • Click Download [You'll see a message telling you that a data connection is needed, ignore it]
    • Now put your phone on a stable, straight surface in order to enable the phone to get a lock, within GPS Status. This time, you’ll see your phone get the lock way faster than before.
    Finally

    • Turn off phone.
    • Put your SIM back in, and turn the device on
    • Open either Google Maps, or the application GPS Status
(this information was taken from S-Murphy's "MIUI-AU for desire" site. Always nandroid b/u before making any system changes)
