I have been running the stock/froyo 2.2 leak for a few days now and love it. My question is can I use the p3droid kernels that are in the cyanogenmod/p3Droid Kernels section on froyo or do I have to find the 'Froyo kernels' somewhere else and manually change kernels that way?

No, you cannot use the p3droid kernels listed under CM on the Froyo leaks. You will need to manually install kernels built for Froyo.
