I just installed Cyanogenmod ROM 6 for my Droid, and when I try to download the Google Apps package from ROM Manager, it won't work. Please, I need help ASAP. Thank you.

You don't give much in the way of details as to why it won't work, so try it again. Using ROM Manager, reinstall CM6.0 and this time select the choice to install gapps at the same time.

Failing that, try clearing the download cache within ROM manager and try it all over again.

    good luck

The Google Apps download just doesn't work. I went to the site on my computer and saw that they took it down. So now what? Halp?

So I install this like an update.zip?

No, install rom from sdcard, but you should do it all from within the ClockworkMod recovery menu.

Boot into recovery, nandroid backup, data/cache wipe, install CM6.0, install gapps (using the install rom from sdcard, NOT install update.zip), then reboot.

    good luck

    "Can't mount: dev/block..."
I keep getting an error message like that when I try to backup my current ROM or when I try to install another.

Try reflashing recovery -- 3x each alternate recovery/clockwork recovery, but do it alternate, clockwork, alternate, clockwork, alternate, clockwork, then try again.

And yeah, it's an update.zip install.

Sorry, I don't quite understand. I re-downloaded Clockwork again and still nothing.

    EDIT: Nevermind. Trying now.

ROM Manager has a bug that keeps showing up that screws up and sometimes REMOVES the recovery image. The only fix is to flash alternate recovery, clockwork, etc. three times in succession. One reason I suggest trying to install ROMs manually. :)

But I just tried to flash it 3X each and nothing changed.
