Before flashing the gapps, I removed maps, voice search, gmail, and a couple of others that can be downloaded from the market. Flashed 1/6 update then my modified (lighter) gapps and wala. Booted up fine. Now for some testing.

Has anyone done a side by side comparison between this ROM and any other ROM? I'm looking at LFY 1.7x side by side with this one and all of the apps that are present in both ROMs are significantly larger in size in the GB ROM than in LFY - any idea why so much of a size increase?

/system is probably jammed - delete maps.apk from the gapps file before you flash it (ie. On your pc). Vending.apk is the last apk written when flashing the gapps package, so if you are out of space in /system, guess what doesn't make the cut.

To make it easy all you'd really have to remove from the ROM itself is:

    Rommanager.apk - market
    Livewallpapers.apk - run like poop
    Magicsmokewallpapers.apk - see above
    Visualizationwallpapers - see above
    PinyinIME.apk - alt keyboard
    Openwnn.apk - see above
Cmwallpapers.apk - nice, but weighs in at a hefty 8mb.

Heh, that's the way to do it. The less there is, the less there is to be broken.

FYI: I tried just pushing the Camera.apk from the 1-4-11 update, camera still broken in 1-6-11 install. Was hoping a simple fix would be possible, but maybe you have an idea of what the problem is. Best of luck man, keep up the good work.

    From gapps:

    Maps.apk
    Googlevoice.apk

After all this is out there should be over 10mb free in /system upon installation
