This is a ROM built from Pete's rooted FRG22D leak (NOT v.05). I integrated Manup's REVOlution theme and fully opimized and zip alinged all .apk's for optimal performance. This is a FAST and Stable ROM.

    Download: Droid_Evolution.zip

    No Clock Modification: Evolution_No_Clock.zip

I recommend using P3's kernels with this. You can get them from here: P3Droid Kernels

For themed goodies goto this thread: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/bugless/67172-theme-bugless-evolution-rom.html

    Themed LauncherPro: LauncherPro_Evolution_0.7.8.1.apk

    ROM Highlights:
    - FRG22D base
    - All .apk's are fully zip-aligned
    - All .png's are optimized
    - Includes BlackMMS
    - Includes leaked Gmail 2.2.1
    - Themed with Manup456's REVOlution
    - Themed Google Search Widget version 1.1.1
    - Removed Amazon MP3
    - Removed Voice Search (Download newest version from market)
    - Superuser 2.3.5
    - Removed all "Verizon Wireless" tagging

Been running this for a few weeks with a Chevy kernel, best theme IMO.

    cool, but wrong files?

Hm, was pretty stoked by the screenshots, but after installing Droid_Evolution.zip, I seem to be missing some of the theme features. (Yes, I wiped cache and data.) The text buttons on the bottom aren't there. The lock screen looks mostly stock. Unlock sliders and dock are different depending on screen orientation... It seems as if not all of the features of the theme are included in the rom. Am I doing something wrong?

you have to apply the pictures to the dock yourself. read the [THEME] Bugless Evolution thread, there are instructions on there somewhere.

Yeah, I was just looking through that now. So the pics for the rom actually require downloading some additional stuff (like the themed launcherpro that isn't included). Hmm...

That doesn't really explain the orientation issues. It seems that the theme isn't complete for the landscape orientation. I tried reapplying the theme update, and it's the same.

the themed LauncherPro wasn't included because the developer updates that particular home app very, very regularly.

Yeah like said in previous posts, the dock is something you need to apply using icons provided in the Evolution_Dock.zip file found here: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/bugless/67172-theme-bugless-evolution-rom.html

As for the lockscreen, I didn't theme the landscape mode. Maybe something I'll do eventually.

This ROM is absolutely awesome! The only issue I've had is that Titanium backup will not recognized root. No issues anywhere else though... Also as far as Kernel's go I don't think any of the dev ones are going to work better than this one if you're content with 800MHz. I really wish this kernel was available for download so I could use it with other dev roms. Came from Sapphire 1.1.1 and much happier with this!

You can use this kernel if you back up this rom with clockwork. Then install the rom of your choice. Go back to the boot recovery and do an advanced restore with nandroid. Pick the rom that you backed up with this kernel, and just restore "boot". It will then overwrite just the kernel that you are currently using. Can always revert back if you are good about keeping the backups. I too also prefer using the stock kernel since it can be overclocked to 800.

Ah! Thanks bro that totally skipped my mind... Damn, now I suppose I'll have to try Sapphire again with the stock Kernel. IMO all users will have the best experience over-clocking the new stock kernel to 800MHz compared to any dev kernel. I have yet to find one that's better.

I installed it last night and am pretty satisfied with it. It runs smoothly and fast.
I haven't experienced any problem so far.
