Having issues with launcher redraws. Running go launcher ex and haven't really had issues with redraws. Tried some of Go settings but none help.

The other issue is with stroage. I have 25ish MB left and nothing will download from the market due to lack of storage. I have titanium so I can force move some apps to SD. Is that a good idea?

I kind of think Pete should review the settings he used in GPA15 4/23 because I'm running that on my primary phone and it's functioning great. I'm running GPA16 5/27 on my test unit phone and it's laggy. Just a thought.

I'm getting some serious lag with the stock kernel. Not going to bother running a different kernel (would defeat the purpose of this thread).

New beta is up, again I addressed the lag by rebuilding the kernel. And the framework had a few updates, you can check my github for details.

    Ok, thanks Pete!

I've noticed over the GPA16 builds that occasionally the messaging app hiccups and stops sending and receiving messages. A reboot fixes it quickly. I'm on and off WiFi a lot at work, could it be related?

I pick up 3G instantly again with GPA16, which is fantastic. The lag is noticeably reduced in the 5/31 build.

I'm also having a very random crashing issue. It seems to start lagging really badly and then it reboots all the way to my homescreen... sort of. The time shown on the lock screen is 7:00PM and my background is black. After that happens I need to restore to my latest backup. GPA15 was doing the same and suddenly stopped on the 5/2 build. Weird.

I'm watching this thread, as I used to use GPA15.

I just loaded up the new release (5/31) and it seems way better than the last one. Most if not all of the lag is gone. But, I am still having one issue that I had reported on the previous release. When I am on the phone and another caller beeps in, I get disconnected from the first call. Then after about 15 seconds the phone will ring with the second call. Still strange.

I noticed the no keyboard backlight issue still exists in the latest update.

I haven't seen a significant difference between GPA16 5/27 and 5/31 builds. I wiped before installing GPA16 5/31 but after not seeing any noticeable change I wiped again and reinstalled it. Have you tried using the settings you used in GPA15 4/23 with GPA16 or is that not feasible? I still see a delay when turning the screen on, even when I slide out the physical keyboard the screen takes longer than normal to power on. Maybe the issue is that 2.3.4 was designed by Google for newer/faster smartphones and the Droid 1 just can't handle it  I'm just holding out until the Droid 3 comes out then I might upgrade.
