    2.3.5???

So, is this a beta or is this a stable release?

Android 2.3.5 Released for the Original DROID by Peter Alfonso - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog

    EDIT BY PETE:

    Beta testers will:

    1) Be very familiar with the rooting, custom recoveries, flashing roms, etc
    2) Wipe data and cache (more than once) before installing the beta build
    3) Not restore data using applications such as Titanium backup, etc (manualy restore!)
    4) Use only the default kernel provided in the beta build
    5) Not modify the beta build in any way (removing apps, themeing, etc)
    6) Run only the latest baseband available (C_01.43.01P)
    7) Fully read release changes on my github
    8) Report back only new issues (not those that occur in previous builds)
    9) Wipe dalvik cache between updated beta build installs

Those who do not follow any of the above guidelines are deemed ineligible to report bugs and will be ignored.

    GPA17 Beta
Download (Choose latest file available, I make changes all the time)

I'm curious about it vs 2.3.4 too.

Had anyone had any problems yet. I don't want to jump down gingerbread road yet. So happy with froyo. But very tempting.

Running now zero problems so far. Running a little hot but probably because of sync. Extremely fast for running at 600. NICE Pete.

Its running smooth so far but when I try to download for example burn the rope or fruit ninja it say I have insufficient space for my device. I have 128 mb free of space so I don't understand what the problem is.

I would, but I rely on my phone being stable since I have a kid in daycare, so I can't have my phone being extra weird on me if god forbid something were to happen.. That's why I haven't done any of the betas so far.

While I'm not in as dire a situation as you GilmourD3, I agree with the principal and I too usually wait for the stable releases. However, I knew I was going to have a slow day at work today and so I downloaded it with a few of Chevy's kernels to test. So far the ROM seems to be doing fine.

Couldn't resist. Charge jumped to full from like 40% . Data maybe a bit flaky but it's really too soon to say for sure. Market apps are listed as downloading but I have to select each and accept permission before they will download.
    Otherwise it's pretty slick.

Has anyone noticed 3G being on while WiFi is on? I don't think it has done that before. Is it supposed to? I remember before when I turned on WiFi, it would cut 3G out completely.

Nvm.... it went away. So far, this version is a lot snappier and more responsive. I like it. :)
