    Install

Do we install this through clockwork mod, wipe data/cache and install?

Yes. Install through CWM after wiping 3x data/cache/dalvik.

    Pete,
As usual nice work. I am running 16 stock at 800. Will your 2.0 kernels work here?

    Pete,
I switched to your lv 1250 kernel. I have some observations:
    1. Data issues gone
    2. Some home screen redraws, but not bad
    3. When a call comes in the ringtones at first is fragmented. Lasts about half a sec
    4. When you take phone from ear to hangup on a call, screen takes a cpl secs to come back. That's annoying. Sensor settings?
    5. Been booted out of browser a few times, seems memory needs more tweaking.
    6. Forceclose on phone AP. Literally the phone AP. Screen goes black. Maybe a memory issue.
hopefully you're following this thread :)

    Launcher lag, possible solution

I was having lag issues with both the stock launcher and ADW. I tried this and it worked for me (no more lag).

    In a terminal:

    $ su
    # echo ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1 >> /data/local.prop

    Then reboot your phone.

To undo these changes simply remove the entry from /data/local.prop.

This is from Ryan at AndroidNexus.com The URL is Fix home screen redraw lag in LauncherPro and ADW Launcher | AndroidNexus.com

Ya, that locks your home screen into memory. Even with Pete's kernel I was having major issues. ChevyNo1 has some new kernels out and I am running his Lv 1100 and this phone has never run faster and all issues have gone bye bye. I think all the phones that will have 2.3.4 will all have 1 gig and better processors. Might just be to eliminate problems oc'n might be a must.

I just flashed to GPA16 from GPA15 and still can't get my GPS to work. On this GPA16 build, the GPS symbol doesn't even show up in the task bar...

Is there anything I can do to help get this fixed? I can send dumps or anything you might need off my phone... I've got a Droid v1...

Download GPS Status from the market and try it. Whenever I had a problem locking satellites (very infrequently) gps status would find them and lock on, then navigation, etc. would work fine.

Okay so after a few hours I've noticed some lag with just about everything. Its not a ram issue. Turning the screen on takes a few seconds longer to load and such...

Also there's no sound with recording video

I was curious so I flashed the 6/16 build. I too experienced a lot of the lag issues, but I was having massive issues with audio. Music playback would stutter for no obvious reason. Sometimes instead of the ringtone I would just get a static-crackle sound. The ring delay was significant, to the point where I missed a few calls. It looks like a GREAT work in progress though and can't wait till the final release. I ended up wipeing and flashing back to GPA15 with 1.0LV kernel and AutoOverclock.

This is going to sound stupid, but what do you mean by wipe 3x. Do you mean wipe data/cache/dalvik then reboot into recovery then do it again, reboot again, and wipe a third time. Or, do you mean wipe data, then wipe data again, then wipe data for a third time in succession?

He means boot into recovery (CWM or RZ) and wipe everything three times (3x). You do not need to reboot between each wipe. Just select wipe, wait for it to finish, then wipe again, 3x for each. After the final wipe, then reboot back into recovery before installing ANYTHING.
