I enabled it and. Whenever I go to change input method it defaults back to the crappy android keyboard

Did you select it and then enable it in a text field?

I honestly dont really have any suggestions other then uninstalling and then reinstalling it. Maybe fix permissions and then a reboot.

These are the actual steps I took to get it to work:
uninstalled swype beta
installed the apk I posted
went to language and keyboard to select it
long pressed in a text field in handcent and selected it as my input method
began typing and it was working fine

I am doing this on CM4DX but that shouldnt make a difference especially since it is the apk right from the SS file.

Well it stinks you had to SBF but as long as you get it all sorted out. Sometimes these devices just do what they want lol

cant use the market, crashes instantly..

PS: sbfed and re ran prep and rom install. seems to be working now, i thought the newest radio is like 13 says im still on 7

also is there a way to change the boot logo, and battery icon?

Did I just see you on dxf asking this and I responded? If not its like the twilight zone or something and I will answer from there. But I am pretty sure.

I was on a .602 gb rom and did the prezip and then the zip, but I could not change the keyboard, and some of my settings wouldn't stick, so I'm doing the sbf method to see what happens.

The settings bug is a known issue. And what do you mean you could not switch the keyboard?

I just sbf, and same result. Now the keyboard wont change from swype. I can only use swype. When I choose another keyboard like swiftkey or go keyboard, it wont change. I tried fixing permissions. Any thoughts ?
