Ringtones won't stay assigned

I recently changed to the Droid 4, after using an Ally for the last 2 years. Never have I had the problem before of assigning different ringtones for individual contacts, and NOT have that ringtone stay there! What a weird thing. I downloaded the ringtones from Zedge. But now not only don't the Zedge ringtones stay put, but the ringtones that came with the phone won't apply either. It usually goes back to 'default'. Hopefully someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong. This shouldn't be rocket science!!

Well I never did figure out WHY the ringtones didn't stay assigned, but I downloaded Ringdroid and started using that, and now the ringtones are staying assigned like they should. Don't know why, don't care. As long as it's working.
