Ringtone Help!

I just want to know if there is a silent option that comes with the phone instead of having a ringtone. I have downloaded a silent sound file to set as my ringtone because i cant find the option to set ringtone as vibrate only. The silent file i downloaded works most of the time but sometimes gets put under the recently added playlist under music and also my ringtone will change itself every now and then. I just want my ringer to be on vibrate with no ringer. Any help?
