My ringer stopped working recently. I have checked
EVERYTHING in Settings - Sound&Display
Went to Verizon & they are sending me a new phone.
Just want to ask has anyone else had this issue?

In your Sound settings do you have either of the smart sensor settings checked?

Just curious - did you attempt a factory reset and did that not repair anything?

Good to see you are getting the phone replaced...

There is a known bug in the smart sensor settings - there was a huge thread on the Moto forums about it...the factory reset would reset those values...after there were several reported issues, Moto advised that the settings not be used LOL until a software update could fix the bug...

ringer on droid x not working

my ringer has also stopped working for no apparent reason. I have tried everything. I'll bring to verizon. Maybe there is something here that the new update, when it comes, will fix.

Droid won't ring

Take the battery out for three seconds and then put it back in. Fixed the problem for me.

My droid x did the same. Took it to Verizon, they said a ring tone app causes the problem. They removed the battery, didn't work. They tried to unistal (ringlert) didn't work. Then they did a factory reset. Turned my phone into a brick. Did get a new phone.

I had this problem but found a solution that worked for me without having to hard reset. It is a problem with Smart Profile and the solution comes from Motorola.

1. Go into settings>sound and make sure Smart Profile is selected.
2. With your phone faced-up, call it from another line.
3. While your phone is vibrating, flip it over so it's face-down and vibrating stops.
4. Now flip it face-up again.
5. End the call from the other phone you are calling from.
6. Call again from the other phone and your droid should ring.

Worked for me on the first try, but I read that some people had to try several times before it worked. Definitely beats a hard reset. I have since kept Smart Profile off.
