I just downloaded the UltimateDroid "New Era" 1.0.0 Rom and I have only been able to restore my paid apps. How can I restore the rest of my apps?
If it matters...I have the original droid. Thanks.

Ok well i have downloaded different roms previous to this and google has usually helped me out with restoring apps put on my email account. I wish there were a way to get my google account to restore everything downloaded with my email, but at least I have my paid apps still.....

(i'm assuming you wiped before install.) the mkt should have downloaded all of your apps automatically after you signed in after initial boot, and synced your account with google. did you allow a complete sync before finishing initial set up??

You downloaded the wrong version. Did you use rom manager to download if you did that is very old.
You need the ultimate Droid 1.0.0 from the download section in forums.

I did let my phone still for awhile and I saw the "arrows" spinning in the notification bar. But no restored apps. Also, I did download UltimateDroid from Rom Manager. I guess ill just go back to BB 0.5 and hopefully get the apps back?

if you've already wiped, and the apps haven't come back, it's unlikely that switching to another rom will get them back. do you have a nandroid backup?? if so, maybe restore that, with all your apps. this time, back them up with TiBu, and then try flashing again. hopefully the mkt will restore your apps. but if not, at least you will have them backed up.

it's always a good idea to have a rom backup. you can do it in recovery, or thru Rom Mgr. that way you have a rom that you know works, and is stable, and has all of your stuff. then, if something goes awry, you can always boot into recovery and restore back to a setup that you know was working. and with TiBu, you know that all of your apps are always just a click away. :)

i installed ud1.0.0 and and wiped everything but before i flashed it i made a complete nan backup then i did a nan of just the data. after i flashed the rom i did the nan data restore and all my settings and apps were all there. and since then i have flashed 5 diff kernels until i setteled on a slayer kernel so i can have compcache.
i dont know if this helps but its what i did and i have absolutly no problems, NONE! so i guess i did something right.
