When rooting or modifying your Android Smartphone it is always a good idea to keep a stock image handy incase for any reason you encounter a soft brick or just incase you need to return to stock firmware for warranty reasons or to return or sell the device. One bad thing about flashing a stock image is that it will often completely wipe your phone removing all saved data and apps. The developer responsible for the root method on the Verizon version of the Galaxy S4 has now also modified the Stock image so that it will flash without factory wiping your device. Hey, the zip file for the factory image for the vz s4 will not open/extract on my laptop. i have the odin installer all set up. what am i doing wrong? im on 4.3 i was rooted, tried to install a rom using safestrap and now i cant even factory reset... this is my last hope!! I dont know what else to do...
