Ok here's the deal, Im running stock 2.2 FRG22d ( i think that's it proper name) and lost my one touch root when I got the OTA for frg22d. I'm perfectly fine with losing my one touch root because it really didnt work properly.

Anyway, I have RSD lite on my computer and clockwork mod on my phone already. I would like to "long root" my phone, but the problem is that there are so many old tutorials that come up on this forum when you search that i can't find the proper route to take. Any suggestions or links to exactly how to pull this off? I tried to root once before the long way and messed up by pushing the wrong sbf to my phone and I dont want to do that again.

Actually I had to Un-Root b/c I'm sending my phone back under warranty for a screen issue but I remember reading that he has a link after the first couple of paragraphs about rooting with any OS

yeah it takes you to motocache's thread. I think that is the one I tried originally and it uses the universal androot "easy" root method which doesnt seem to work anymore.

    ***Completely wrong about that***
Went to motocache's thread and helped out a ton....thank you
