Request: Horizontal Volume Button Switch

I'm hoping somebody can/is willing to figure out how to code an app that will reverse the volume buttons when the droid is turned horizontal.

As is in vertical mode, up is vol. up and down is vol. down, and in horizontal mode left is vol. up and right is vol. down.

What I would like is for the vertical volume to be left as-is, but to have the horizontal controls reversed so that left is vol. down and right is vol. up.

Especially in the dock, late at night when its too dark to see the buttons, or when i just want to reach over, its a very annoying factor of the droid, and i would very much appreciate anybody who could develop a fix for me.

this is how my Dare was and I found it bizarre the Droid didn't do the same thing. +1 on this.
