So now that we know the droid eris is at end of life. how will they deal with insurance claims. like replacing damaged ones and such. or will there probably be a stock of refurb eris's to give out to the those?

There's a warehouse somewhere full of them. Phones have to be pretty old for them not to be able to provide a replacement. Worst case scenario is they have to upgrade you.
