Removing Deleted Gmail Account from Droid

Hi, all. Hoping someone can help me out with a problem I'm having. I had two Gmail accounts on my phone. I wanted to delete one of them, but I made the mistake of deleting it online before removing it from my phone. Now I keep getting error messages because my phone is trying to log into the old account. I can't sign in to remove it from my phone since the accounts already been terminated. Does anyone know how I can remove this old account from my phone?

If it's the primary account, A factory reset is the only way to remove it.

It is not. It's a second account I added later. The primary account is still active.

You might try to clear cache and data for the gmail app.
Just a guess, never heard of this problem.

Is it still set to auto sync?

Good call! I went to the auto sync screen and it gave me the option to remove the account. Problem solved. Thank you!!!
