I need to remove Clockwork Mod from my old Droid X. I have an issue with the screen and have a replacement Droid x.

I Unrooted and did a factory reset on the old X and activated my new X, I reinstalled my old battery in my old X and booted it up( To see if all was good) and...Clockwork Mod was what booted up. If I click on reboot system now and and it reboots to the acvtivation screen.

I need to remove it so when I return the old X I dont have any problems...Like I said the problem was with the screen, everything else was running smoothly.

    Please help...

I gotcha, I should have researched this more before I attempted to reset the X...However since the phone isnt activated I cannot get past the activation "welcome the the droid x" screen. Am I gonna have to reactivate my old X to accomplish this?

There's a process I've heard of, but never used, called the "four corner tap". You might research that for some clues. I really know nothing about it but the name, which may be all you need to know.

    Try it and good luck.

I was able to use wifi and use my gmail account with/out activation. I downloaded maderstock from android .net (mirror site downoads didnt work). I also had to re root. Then I was able to load the zip file from recovery (maderstock also killed my root, which was good). After a reboot i went back in and did a factory reset. Bam, done
