Hi everyone. I'm loving Project Elite, switched over from Bugless when v 4 came out, and I've been loving it the entire time.

I was just curious to see if anyone knew how I could remove the clock and date text from the lockscreen. I know PE has settings to edit the carrier text on the lockscreen, but not the date and time as far as I know.

The reason I want to do this is because I'm using a live wallpaper (thanks again to PE for making my droid run smoothly enough to use a live one!), and the date and time sit on top of it whenever I go to the lockscreen.

Not really a life or death situation here, but if anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate.

Yeah, that's probably what I'll end up doing. I was hoping to avoid adding more running processes, but the reviews seem to be good so I'll give it a try tonight.

    Thanks

instead of removing it, make it transparent.

in Elite Settings look at the losckscreen settings. Pick any color and then slide that bar all the way over. It will still be there but, you should be able to see right thru it and you are not running an extra app.

Thats about teh only way without going into the lockscreen xmls and flat out removing the code.

Settings -> Elite Options -> Interface:

There you have check-boxes, one of them to turn off the clock.

There you will also find status bar options, click it; then click date and change color to black.

No need for separate apps/widgets. Hope that helps.

Clock option in there is to remove the status bar clock.
Best bet would be the transparent that xkape mentioned.

Ahhhh so close! I made the clock text 100% transparent as suggested in the PE settings. The text is gone, but I guess there is a shadow effect behind the clock text, because now there's a soft, fuzzy outline of the text showing the time and date. It actually looks kind of cool if you have a theme that would look good with it.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I really appreciate it, but I had to ditch the live wallpaper idea; that plus widget locker was making my system way too choppy. I only overclock to 800 mhz because I can't charge my phone at work very often, so I need all the battery life I can get. I use my phone a lot, so even with a LV kernel and a setcpu profile for when the screen is off, I barely make it through the day as it is.

    Thanks again.
