    Nice, thanks. between you and stetsonaw I should be covered. As usual I'll find a place to buy you a beer. You'd think by now I'd be able to port your script over to Linux but I'm too busy...err...lazy...

    edit: the script almost wants to run in wine but it hangs at waiting on phone. 'tis a shame.

    Sweet. Thanks so much for your promptness in helping me. I really wish I had the skill set to make it into an apk. maybe I can find a bud that will do it.

    ok!
    tried. if i connect my phone, it pass the "waiting for phone", and shows "daemon not running. starting it now", and "daemon started successfully" messages, but the main program not show anymore.
    no problem, i have copied the /system/app and /system/framework manually to origi_app and origi_frame and restarted the main.exe (with /skip param) and it shows the menu! :)
    tried the 15 option, and next the 3 option (working fine, and showing green screen)
    next, tried the 15 option, and next the 5 option (for remove the clock),
    but i have a error "goto was not expected at this time" (i send a screen capture) and the log file contents:

    edit1: i have checked and the orig_* and done_* filenames and filesizes are the same...

    Code:
    PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE=x86
    PROCESSOR_IDENTIFIER=x86 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10, GenuineIntel
    PROCESSOR_LEVEL=6
    PROCESSOR_REVISION=170a
    ProgramData=C:\ProgramData
    ProgramFiles=C:\Program Files
    PROMPT=$P$G
    ------------------------------------(v2.1)--------------
    **MAIN MENU OPTION "15"** -main- ( 8:22:54,98 06/07/2010)
    **ADVANCE MENU OPTION "3"** -main- ( 8:22:55,91 06/07/2010)
    **FILES TRANSFERED TO DONE** -main- ( 8:22:58,73 06/07/2010)
    **MAIN MENU OPTION "15"** -main- ( 8:23:02,57 06/07/2010)
    **ADVANCE MENU OPTION "5"** -main- ( 8:23:03,53 06/07/2010)

    please, help!
    thank's

    OK, I applied the brightness patcher to my motorola droid running BB v 0.4 Froyo. I do not seem to be able to get the minimum brightness to "stick" after changing it to the new minimum. Is this because other programs (such as "brightness profiles") do not recognize the change. Brightness profiles seems to recognize the change in the calibration menu, but it seems to change back when calibration is exited.

    I have not tested the min auto brightness with any app, other then the automatic brightness setting (it will not effect manual brightness)

    Odd, it tells me that there is a new version of xUltimate (1.2.4) out, but I have version 2.1.
